The Team:

The Camden SST team members come from diverse backgrounds and bring a variety of skills to the service. SST has staff members with previous experience of working with; people with learning difficulties, drug and alcohol treatment services, mental health services, women’s services, youth services, housing services and with those within the criminal justice system .

There are a number of different roles within our team. They are:

Outreach:

The Outreach Workers are on the streets seven days a week assertively engaging with clients in order to find them accommodation and reduce their street activity. We have a Senior Outreach Worker and an Intensive Case Worker who work with clients with more complex needs.

Streetsafe Coordinator:

The Street Safe Co-ordinator takes calls from the community about any street activity and ensures a rapid response along with feedback to the reporter about action taken.

Pathways Coordinators:

The Pathways Co-ordinators work in both Adult and Young People’s hostels in order to reduce anti social behaviour by hostel residents or their guests and prevent evictions to the street.

They also work with local residents around any complaints they have regarding locality issues and take part in community meetings to let people know that we are part of the process of reducing anti social behaviour.

Anti social behaviour Coordinator:

The ASB Co-ordinator provides interventions which help people, who are involved in anti social street activity, to modify their behaviour. This reduces anti social behaviour, crime and the fear of crime in the community.

Duty Worker and Administrator:

We have a duty worker who is available to take calls for clients and other professionals and can advise on housing matters and refer into the team or onto other services, as appropriate. They also act as a liaison between SST and local accommodation providers.

Our administrator carries out all the day to day administrative tasks for the team.

Management Team:

The management team comprises of a Project Manager and two Team Leaders each with many years experience of working with the homeless.
